The Dalmatian Islands – September 6-13, 2025
$2,049 per person (double occupancy cabin) per week

Join the Delta Sailing School flotilla as we sail the exciting Dalmatian Islands of Croatia during the week of September 6 to September 13, 2025. Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or setting sail for the first time, this adventure combines ideal sailing conditions, lively local culture and picturesque historic towns. Sail with confidence, guided by our expert captains. Share unforgettable moments with fellow travelers and experience the enchanting beauty of the Adriatic Sea.

This beautiful chain is made up of 1249 islands, about half of them inhabited. There are walled cities, hilltop fortresses, lush green forests, and beautiful hikes. The sailing is lovely, with September being a great month to travel among these islands, when it is not too hot, but warm enough to swim, just after the height of the tourist season.

We depart from the town of Split and sail to a new island town every day. The Dalmatian islands are spaced such that sailing from one island to the next can take anywhere from 2 hours to 6 hours. We put the sails up and let them glide us to our next destination.

Our typical day starts with breakfast aboard, then leaving our overnight marina and sailing to our next island destination. We’ll make lunch aboard and by afternoon, should arrive at our next island. Dinner is usually at a local restaurant. Croatian cuisine reflects the country’s Mediterranean and coastal influences, with fresh, locally sourced seafood, meats, vegetables and cheeses.

Our planned itinerary includes visits to the following islands:

-Mljet: Often referred to as the “greenest island” in Croatia, Mljet is known for its lush forests, tranquil atmosphere, and stunning natural landscapes. The western part of the island is a protected national park, home to saltwater lakes, hiking trails, and the picturesque St. Mary’s Monastery on a small islet within one of the lakes.

Korčula: Famous for its medieval architecture and connection to explorer Marco Polo, Korčula boasts charming stone streets, fortified walls, and a rich cultural heritage. The island is known for its vineyards producing high-quality white wines like Pošip and Grk. A favorite historic site is Korčula Town, often called “Little Dubrovnik” due to its well-preserved Old Town.

Brač: Brač is a diverse island featuring stunning coastlines, historic villages, and the country’s highest island peak, Vidova Gora. It is known for its white limestone which has been used in notable buildings like the UN Headquarters in New York City.

Vis: The most remote of Croatia’s major islands, Vis was a military base until the late 20th century, preserving its untouched beauty and authentic Mediterranean charm. Known for its crystal-clear waters, secluded coves, and historical sites like the ancient Greek colony of Issa, Vis is a paradise for divers, sailors, and history enthusiasts.

Hvar: Often dubbed Croatia’s “sunniest island,” Hvar is a known for its lively nightlife, historic sites, and fragrant lavender fields. The town of Hvar boasts impressive landmarks like the Spanish Fortress and the 13th-century St. Stephen’s Cathedral, while the island also offers tranquil beaches, scenic vineyards, and charming villages like Stari Grad.
